No, not for individuals. Claude's pricing has no student plan or student price. Students get access through Claude for Education, which universities buy for their students and staff. On your own, the cheapest way to use Claude Code is Pro billed yearly, at $17 a month.

How Claude for Education works
Claude for Education is sold to universities and colleges, not to individual students. Schools contact Anthropic's education team to set it up. It includes a learning mode that asks questions to help you find answers yourself, and it is built to meet universities' rules for student data.
To find out if you have access, ask your university's IT or digital learning team whether it offers Claude.
Watch out for fake discount codes
Sites that offer Claude student coupon codes or cheap shared accounts are not offering anything from Anthropic. Buy plans only through Claude itself.
Getting the most for your money
If you code a few days a week, Pro is usually enough. Pay yearly to save $36 a year. Check how much of Pro you would use.
