aicodecost is a free, independent site that helps you pick the Claude plan that fits how you use Claude Code. A developer who uses Claude Code every day runs it. We are not affiliated with Anthropic, or with OpenAI or Cursor.
Why this site exists
Anthropic tells you that Max 5x gives five times Pro's usage. It does not tell you how much work Pro holds. So the question most people ask, “which plan do I need?”, has no official answer. This site gives you an estimate you can check, with the math in the open.
Built on real usage
The calculator is calibrated on the logs of the developer who runs this site. They use Claude Code on Max 20x and used $1,497 of usage at API rates over 30 days. How the estimate works.
Where the prices come from
Every price comes from the official pricing page or help article, and we link to the source on each page. We check them by hand and log each check in the changelog. The last check was on October 19, 2026. Prices can change at any time, so check the source before you buy.
Privacy
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not track you across sites.
